Last June 7 and 9, 2012, the people of Atlanta was mesmerized by the two and a quarter hour long performance of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's (ASO) "A Flowering Tree," a Mozart-inspired production of composer John Adam's. The program was held at the Atlanta Symphony Hall of the Woodruff Arts Center in downtown Atlanta. Set in an ancient South India and performed by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and chorus with the vocal soloists Jessica Rivera, Eric Owens and Russell Thomas under the direction of Music Director Robert Spano.
This concert series was a big hit to the audience for its visual effects as well as its romantic score. The first time that an orchestra has staged a production using Symphony V.o, a multidimensional technology with high definition capture techniques and a proprietary motion graphics content delivery system.
